Sanna Wesanko appointed as Diak’s new Vice Rector and Director of Education

Psychotherapist, M.Ed., M.A. Sanna Wesanko has been appointed as the new Vice Rector and Education Director of Diaconia University of Applied Sciences. She is currently working as the Vice President for Education at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK).

Wesanko has a long career in higher education. Prior to TAMK, she has worked as a Development Manager at Laurea UAS. Before that, Wesanko worked for a long time as Diak’s Head of Education and as a Senior Lecturer.

– Sanna Wesanko has management experience from the field of higher education, a proven track record of successful change management and wide networks within higher education. In addition, she has strong knowledge of combining RDI activities and education, says Diak’s CEO and Rector Elina Juntunen.

Wesanko will start her work in Diak in September when Diak’s long-term Vice Rector and Director of Education Pirjo Hakala retires.
