Career monitoring survey for 2019 graduates starts

What is the employment situation of Diak graduates five years after graduation? Does the knowledge gained from the studies carry over into working life? The nationwide career tracking survey of universities of applied sciences collects information for the development of education and also affects the funding of universities of applied sciences. This year, those who graduated in 2019 will receive the survey.

The national career monitoring survey is running from 10 October to 10 November, 2024. The survey targets alumni who graduated from universities of applied sciences in 2019.

The career monitoring survey of collects information on the employment of graduates, the overall working career and satisfaction with the working career and the degree.

The results of the survey help Diak to develop degrees so that they meet the skills needs of working life. Based on the answers, we can see how the education received from Diak has paid off in the working career and what should still be developed.

The national survey is sent yearly to those who have graduated five years ago. This year it will be sent to those who graduated in 2019.

Did you graduate in 2019? You will receive the survey via email and text message!

Did you graduate from Diak in 2019? You will receive the career monitoring survey in your email and via text message from CSC – Tieteen Information Technology Center Oy. The email may go to your spam folder, so be sure to check it as well.

How to answer?

  • The survey is sent directly by e-mail and text message to all those who graduated in 2019 (both Bachelor and Master Degree graduates).
  • The response period for the survey is 10th October to 10th November, 2024.
  • Answers are treated confidentially and individual respondents cannot be identified.

Why answer?

By answering, you are participating in the production of information that is used to improve the quality of education. By answering:

  • you help applicants and current students with their career considerations
  • you can help improve future education of university of applied sciences
  • the career monitoring questionnaire plays an important role in the development of education and in the career guidance of students
  • the results of the survey also have a direct impact on the funding of higher education institutions. Based on the results, the Ministry of Education and Culture allocates 3% of the core funding to universities of applied sciences.

National Career Monitoring Survey of Universities of Applied Sciences

The national career monitoring survey of universities of applied sciences is sent every year to those who graduated five years ago. The need for the survey is based on the Universities of Applied Sciences Act (932/2014) and Decree (1129/2014). Your background information is retrieved from Virta, the national data repository for higher education maintained by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Basic information about your degrees will be collected as background data, so these details will not be requested separately in the form. Your contact information will be retrieved from the student or alumni registry and public sources solely for the purpose of sending the survey, after which it will be deleted.
