CEO-Rector Elina Juntunen appointed CEO of the Deaconess Foundation

Elina Juntunen, CEO and Rector of Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, has been appointed CEO of the Deaconess Foundation as of August 1, 2025. The Deaconess Foundation is one of Diak's largest owners.

– I want to thank Elina already at this stage for her contribution to the development of Diak’s operations. During the four years that Elina has led Diak, significant reforms have been implemented at Diak. They have strengthened Diak and its position in the higher education field, says Hannu Harri, the chair of Diak’s Board of Directors.

Elina Juntunen will continue in her position at Diak during the spring semester. She has served as Diak’s CEO and principal since January 2021. Before that she worked as the Director of Services.
