Contact the library to find out more about training.

Information literacy refers to an ethically sustainable way of actively seeking new information, researching and using existing knowledge. Information literacy skills can be practised and developed into a competency.

Information retrieval training for students

At the starting information retrieval training sessions, learning concentrates on the various information retrieval techniques. These include the use of the Diak Finna as well as other databases and electronic materials. To support the training, please use our LibGuides.

Contact library: markku.hiltunen@diak.fi

Further information about training sessions is provided in MyDiak.

The library organises trainings also for staff members.

Information retrieval guidance for other customers

The library offers information retrieval guidance for partners and stakeholders. The guidance sessions are planned based on programme-specific curricula.

Information literacy training can also be offered as a tailor-made package for individuals or organisations who want to develop their information retrieval skills.
