Multidisciplinary Simulation
Are you interested in multidisciplinary work in social and health care?
Now you have an opportunity to participate in the Multidisciplinary Simulation” Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) and learn from experts from different countries. This BIP is designed for students who want to learn collaboration, teamwork and communication in social and health care situations and practice different kinds of patient and client situations with simulation.
The inspiring programme consists of online workshops and collaborative teamwork with an intensive week in Helsinki, Finland.
The Multidisciplinary Simulation BIP is organized with Diak’s partner HEIs VID Specialized University (Norway) and Karel de Grote (Belgium).

Intensive Week in Helsinki
Schedule
12-16 May 2024 with daily program at 9:00-16:00.
When making the travel arrangements, please make sure to arrive in Helsinki by Saturday evening and leave earliest on Friday afternoon.
Optional Activities
Get-together and farewell dinners, social events and other activities will be organised in the evenings. Participation in these activities is voluntary.

Public Transportation
We recommend downloading the HSL app to buy tickets and find the routes. This app can be used also for the train from the airport to the city centre. Alternatively, you can buy day tickets (for 1-7 days) e.g. from R-kiosks. Price examples: one-way-ticket 2,95 € and 5-day-ticket 27€.
Helsinki Journey Planner is a practical tool for finding public transportation routes and schedules.
From Helsinki central railway station, bus number 55 (departs from platform 3) stops in front of the campus building (stop Haukilahdenkatu). The journey takes 15 minutes.
Lunch
Daily lunch is available at 12-13. The price for a warm meal is 2,95€/students and 8,50€/staff.

Accommodation
Participants will take care of their own housing arrangements. Diak’s international office will send the instructions to the participants after registration.
Recommended options are Hotel Arthur, Diana Park Hostel, Cheap Sleep Hostel, The Yard and Omena Hotel. The price is 20€-50€ per person per night depending on the shared room.
Funding
For staff and students from partner institutions, participation is supported by the Erasmus+ Mobility grant.
Student Registration
Partners will nominate the student participants by 15.2.2024. Please contact your international office for information about the application and selection. The selected students from partner institutions complete the Mobility-Online registration form by 1.3.2024.

Certificate
Diak will issue a Transcript of Records in English for all participants who have successfully completed the programme.
